Now that summer has finally arrived we've been busy doing all things summer.
It's only taken 8 years but the kids finally like watermelon.
We were supposed to go to the beach Tuesday but a surprise thunderstorm kept us away. Instead we went to the store to buy ice cream sandwiches and a bubble machine.
It's hard to tell from the photo but there were a TON of bubbles. Let me tell you, "Gazillions of Bubbles" did not disappoint. The slight breeze after the thunderstorm caused just enough wind to send bubbles around the entire neighborhood. It was very whimsical. When the bubble solution ran out we used regular bubbles from a bubble jug. That was no good. So I mixed up Dawn dish soap and water. That was much better. But, the secret bubble recipe of all time is to mix the bubble solution with the Dawn and water. Biggest bubbles ever. The kids loved it.
Then we broke out the kiddie pool.
Yesterday we finally made it to the beach but I didn't take any pictures.
To end the day we watched the Summerfest fireworks.
