Company Picnic

Today, Jed's work hosted a company picnic for the 40th anniversary of their first United States location.  All of us were given company t-shirts to wear to the event.  The kids were thrilled to get t-shirts.  I was thrilled I didn't have to figure out what they were going to wear.

Matching shirts and hat Parker won't take off

It was a gorgeous day so we had a nice drive to Jed's work.  Check out the view of the city and Lake Michigan he gets to see on his way to work everyday.  How's that for a nice commute?

At the picnic there was tons of food, games for the kids, a rock climbing wall and swag like koozies, hats, chalk and bracelets for the kids.

The boys climbed the tower so many times that the people running it just let them leave their climbing harness on when they took a break for ice cream.  Other kids were jealous and insisted they were supposed to take it off.  Parker climbed to the top 5 times.  Paxton tried but only got 1/2-3/4 of the way up each time.

Hamilton loved the bounce house.  He would just jump saying, "Bounce! Bounce! Bounce!" over and over.

"Bounce, bounce, bounce!"

We even took a tour of Jed's shop.  The kids were excited to se the machines he runs.  This shop is WAY nicer than his old one.  It is clean, organized and very professional.  I was impressed.  It's obvious why Jed is happier working here...well, that and the higher pay and less hours.

It was a fun day.  When we left the boys were already asking about the next picnic.  Jed isn't sure if they do one every year or not but the boys want him to find out.
