New Beach Day

Beach day picture dump.  We discovered another beach at our favorite park.  It's just north of our favorite spot along a trail called 7 Bridges but we decided to take a short cut that involved only 1 bridge.  The price of taking the short cut was that this path included about a billion stairs (which I forgot to take a picture of).

At the trail head

On the bridge after the million stairs

I had discovered this beach on a map earlier in the week but when I saw a picture of the million stairs I knew this would have to be a 2 parent trip to the beach.  The way down the steps wasn't so bad but there was no way I could drag 2 sandy wet 2 year olds up the steps by myself.

Playing on the break wall

The boys found a chunk of log right where the trail comes out at the beach.  Pax and park floated the log down the beach then rolled it up the break wall.  If you look real close in the picture above at the end of the break wall it was Park's turn to roll the log.

Hayden the rock climber

Hayden was very proud of herself for climbing this huge rock.  The picture doesn't do it justice.  It really was a big rock and I was impressed she got on top of it without any help.

Not what it looks like

The picture above is not what it looks like.  Parker is not flipping the bird and Paxton is not peeing in the lake.  Ham is poking the water with a stick because I'm a mean mom that doesn't let her kids take stuff to the beach.

Jed hands down likes this part of the beach better than our other spot.  It is way less busy and we found tons of cool lake treasures like huge pieces of glass and some weird ceramic thing that we have no idea what it is.  We'll be going here more and can't wait to come here after a storm to see what kind of treasures the lake has for us.
