We finally had some snow in our area. If this snow storm would have hit one day sooner it probably would have been a snow day. It's hard to say exactly how many inches we did get because wind drifted the snow up to our bumpers.
Here's what 20 minutes wrestling kids into snow gear looks like:
The wind died down so the kids played for a solid hour.
The kids made snow tunnel out of one of the drifts.
Our neighbor had mercy on us and snow blowed our driveway. I thought that the six of us could handle shoveling out but my arms are sure glad the neighbor helped us out. We've been warned that the snow always drifts like this so we'll be looking into getting a snow blower.
The snow has stopped for now but the "lake effect" snow we've been hearing so much about is supposed to start up again tonight and continue through tomorrow. Maybe we'll have more shoveling to do this weekend.
