Sunday Fun Day

Sunday we took the kids to the Mitchell Park Horticultural Conservatory.  People around here call it "The Domes" because this park is 3 huge glass domes that each house a different climate.  I should have taken a picture of the outside because it's a pretty cool sight.

There was a model train show going on in the Lobby.  Ham loves trains so we specifically went during the train show.  The kids liked all the different train displays but the one made entirely of Legos was their favorite.

The entire display including working trains made of Legos

This next picture was in the Show Dome which is like an indoor park.  In this dome there were more trains set up with models of different landmarks around Milwaukee.  See the yellow bridge?  That's a replica of the real Hone bridge which Hayden loves.  We had to drive over the bridge to get to the domes so she was pretty excited about that.

There were free train rides.

I finally got a good picture of all 4 kids in the Desert Dome.  I had to bribe them with candy to stand still but I think it was worth it...I haven't had a good picture of all 4 of them together since Halloween.

The lizard in the desert dome was Ham's favorite.

There is a Bearded Dragon in the tank just over Ham's shoulder

Here are the kids looking at the fish in the Jungle Dome.  Hayden's favorite part was the fish, the coins in the water and the sunglasses that someone dropped in the fish pond....because who cares about seeing real banana trees when there are sunglasses at the bottom of an indoor pond?

This morning Hayden was asking about going back to The Domes.  We'll definitely go back when the weather is nicer because there is an entire outdoor part to explore.
