National Night Out

National Night Out was a huge success.  It's a night for the community and law enforcement/fire fighters/ambulance/garbage truck workers to come together as a team.  It also means bounce houses, free popcorn, fireworks and of course booze...because Wisconsin.

The kids went on the bounce house about 4 billion times.  The Boys were really great helping with The Littles to make sure they got through the course then back around to the line.

Parker was really good at helping both of The Littles when Pax decided to do the rock wall.

Pax is on the right in the orange. Park did not want to do this climb.

Then there was the helicopter.

A rescue helicopter landed in the field/parking area.  The kids were excited to get on it...oh but wait, you could only look not get on.  Dumb.

The Boys and I were also slightly miffed that the helicopter pilot did not know how long the blades were.  I mean really?  You fly it, don't you want to know how long the blades of the thing keeping you alive in the sky are?  Apparently not.

The kids stayed so late we got to see the fireworks.  And they ate a ton of free popcorn.  I got a box for Jed but he did not get to eat it because the kids hogged it on the walk home.

Not an exploding trashcan, just fireworks in the distance.

It's so nice to have a park at the end of our street that we can do fun things at all the time.
